Safari on Mac

Part of the SourceSecure IT deployment pack.

SourceSecure for Safari is a free Mac app on the Mac App Store that contains the Safari extension: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6816426153, app ID 6816426153, bundle ID ca.sourcesecure.SourceSecure, from JOLIVE Labs Inc.

  1. In Apple Business Manager, Apps and Books, find SourceSecure and get licences for your computers.
  2. In your MDM, assign the app to the computers as a device-assigned app (Jamf: Mac Apps; Kandji: Library > App Store app; Intune: macOS apps > volume purchased).
  3. Safari extensions are turned on in Safari once per user: Safari > Settings > Extensions > SourceSecure, then Allow for the AI sites when Safari asks. Recent macOS versions can manage Safari extensions by MDM; ask your MDM vendor whether theirs can turn it on for people.

Each person then signs in from the SourceSecure icon in Safari's toolbar, as in Chrome.
